​Whitworth University is sponsoring and supporting four institutional events during Commencement Weekend, including the combined baccalaureate and commissioning service and three separate commencement ceremonies. Each of these events will take place outdoors and require complex planning and substantial staffing in order to meet public health and campus safety protocols. All other departmental end-of-year and commencement-related events must meet the following requirements:

• Must be virtual (highly recommended); or
• If in-person, must be held before Tuesday, May 18 (the first day of final exams), involve only students and employees, and be approved in advance by the Whitworth Office of University Events. Events may be submitted through the Facilities Request Form (FRF)​. Please submit requests by Friday, April 16.
• Off-campus gatherings are discouraged. 

These restrictions will be enforced and are necessary to ensure that events can be adequately staffed, safety protocols followed, and the health and welfare of the community safeguarded. Questions may be directed to events@whitworth.edu. Thank you.
