Whitworth University is thrilled to announce that Commencement Weekend will be held on campus again this year, with commencement ceremonies taking place in the Pine Bowl. Let's celebrate the Class of 2022 among the pines!

Class of 2022 Graduate Commencement Ceremony
Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m., Whitworth Pine Bowl

Class of 2022 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony
Sunday, May 22, 2 p.m., Whitworth Pine Bowl

After receiving exceptionally positive feedback from the graduates and families who attended last year's ceremonies, we decided to continue the events this year on our beautiful campus. We trust this year's graduates will enjoy celebrating outdoors on campus – a place that we hope holds special memories and rich meaning.

We are also pleased to share that graduates will be able to invite more guests to this year's ceremonies! The undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 22 will be a ticketed event, with each graduate receiving seven guest tickets.* The graduate commencement ceremony on May 21 will not require tickets, so graduates may invite as many guests as they would like.

Members of the Class of 2022 and their families are also invited to Whitworth's other traditional Commencement Weekend activities. Please join us for the following:

Senior Service of Communion & Commissioning
Friday, May 20, 7 p.m., Cowles Auditorium

Senior Reflections
Saturday, May 21, 7 p.m., Cowles Auditorium

Baccalaureate**
Sunday, May 22, 10 a.m., Cowles Auditorium

Additional Details

*Undergraduate Commencement Tickets: Whitworth will distribute the seven tickets directly to graduates and will not have any additional tickets available. However, tickets are transferable, and graduates who don't plan to use all of their tickets may share them with others.

**Parking: Due to limited campus parking, parking passes will be required to park on campus on Sunday, May 22. Undergraduate degree candidates will each be issued two parking passes for the day. Graduates and guests are encouraged to carpool or park elsewhere and walk to campus.

Parking passes will not be required for the graduate commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 21.

Livestreaming: Whitworth will provide high-quality livestreaming of both commencement ceremonies to enable family and friends who are unable to attend to watch the events from home.

COVID-19 Protocol: The university will follow all current state and local COVID-19 guidance during Commencement Weekend. Details will be communicated as we get closer.

We hope members of the Class of 2022 are excited to celebrate their accomplishments on campus with peers, professors, family and friends! Additional details and updates will be posted at www.whitworth.edu/commencement.
